Obama More Pro-Choice Than NARAL

For all of you who think Obama may be the lest of the "3 evils", you need to be reminded of what lies in the heart of this man. Read the following article:

Obama More Pro-Choice Than NARAL

Sen. Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.

In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.

Both the Illinois and the federal bill sought equal treatment for babies who survived premature inducement for the purpose of abortion and wanted babies who were born prematurely and given live-saving medical attention.

When the federal bill was being debated, NARAL Pro-Choice America released a statement that said, “Consistent with our position last year, NARAL does not oppose passage of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act ... floor debate served to clarify the bill’s intent and assure us that it is not targeted at Roe v. Wade or a woman’s right to choose.”

But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.

In the second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”

“And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.

At the end of the hearing, according to the official records of the Illinois State senate, Obama thanked Stanek for being “very clear and forthright,” but said his concern was that Stanek had suggested “doctors really don’t care about children who are being born with a reasonable prospect of life because they are so locked into their pro-abortion views that they would watch an infant that is viable die.” He told her, “That may be your assessment, and I don’t see any evidence of that. What we are doing here is to create one more burden on a woman and I can’t support that.”

As a senator, Obama has opposed measures to criminalize those who transport minors across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion.

At a townhall meeting in Ottawa, Ill., Joanne Resendiz, a teacher and mother of five, asked him: “How are you going to vote on this, keeping in mind that 10, 15 years down the line your daughters, God forbid, could be transported across state lines?”

Obama said: “The decision generally is one that a woman should make.”

I for one would rather have a man whose most major sin was to grant amnesty for illegals (WHICH I IN NO WAY SUPPORT) then a man who thinks there is nothing wrong with infanticide.

Show me where McCain holds that to be one of his core values????

I am NOT a McCain supporter, but I would gladly vote for him over Obama anyday.

While I am not a one issue, anti-abortion voter, I offer this article to show you what lies in Obama's heart and that he has no soul.

Give me a break all you, "I will vote for Obama or Hillary over McCain", people.

This guy is to the left of Hillary, if that is possible.

Obamasama's pro-infanticide stance puts him to the left of the left!

Karl Marx would have been aghast!

And......what type of judges do you think Obama will appoint to the federal courts, and Supreme Court? Abortion rights is such a big issue to the liberals, I predict a litmus test for anybody he appoints. Or anyone a President Hillary appoints for that matter.

And to think that there are those here that are ready and willing to vote for a man that is pro-infanticide to become POTUS.

That is like voting for Hitler.

Get over your temper tantrum should McCain win the nomination and THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m kinda with you if it comes to McCain versus either of the other two. I think it would be fair to say, though, that I AM a “one issue voter” in the sense that it’s a “deal breaker” for me with any candidate.

I sure wish there were somebody in the Republican primaries I WANTED to vote for.

You aren’t accusing me of a temper tantrum are you?

Or was it a general statement to those you are angry with?

“This guy is to the left of Hillary, if that is possible.”

NO, HE IS NOT.

YOU ARE CONFUSING HILLARY’S STATED POSITIONS WITH HER TRUE POSITIONS. THE CLINTON’S TRIANGULATE.

WE KNOW HER TRUE POSITION IS TO FAR TO THE LEFT OF OBAMA BY THE WAY THE WAY THE NEW YORK NOW ATTACKED KENNEDY.

The correct order is:

Hillary - far, far, far to the left
Obama - far to the left

Romney - flip/flap/flop in the middle

McCain - a smidge to the right of the middle.

I think Fred’s still on the ballot here in Tennessee, too, and will probably do the same, but, if it has to be McCain or Romney, I’d rather see Romney at this point.

Here is the question that matters:

Will McCain use this issue to show how radical Obama really is? Or will he find such “moral issues” distasteful and fail to use it? With moderate Republicans you just never know what will offend their sensibilities.

No not you. Just the lemmings here who have bought into the notion that McCain is just as evil as Hillary or Obama.

I can’t stand McCain on many issues, but I would NEVER vote for anyone, either actually or by abstention, who shares the same stance that, say for instance, Hitler did.

It does not matter just so long as the pro-lifer, John McCain, does not win. The deaths tens of millions of babies is mouse nuts compared to the horror of a McCain win. /sarcasm

I don’t know what McCain will do, but I for one will shout it from the rooftops, send it to all talk-show hosts via email. Send it to Fox. Write to the RNC. Email everyone I know. Tell my pastor.

Get the point? I will not shut up until I make sure that all I know are informed. Then if they chose to have blood on their hands, that’s between them and God.

Ah, another item to add to Obama's liberal extremist list. In addition to Obama's extreme pro-choice stance, Obama has been identified as being an extreme liberal spender in addition to an extreme liberal-voting senator. Consider the following from another Obama thread.

Evidently even more than Clinton, Obama is unthinkingly carrying on the unconstitutional federal spending practices started by FDR. This post (<-click), while addressing a tax related thread, attempts to explain how FDR's disdain for 10th A. protected state powers created an environment where federal politicians, like Clinton and especially Obama, wrongly propose federal spending programs based on non-existent federal government powers.

Obama might have another distinction too. One organization is claiming that Obama was the most liberal voter in the Senate in '07.

Obama: most liberal voter in Senate in '07
But to be "fair and balanced," the following link attempts to refute Obama's liberal voting record.
A rebuttal to Obama's liberal voting record
Fact-based corrections to the above information are welcome.

Given his advanced age I suppose we ought to keep our eye on the VP slot eh?!

Or, alternatively, we should just work a little harder to knock him out of the race now.
