Bogota - Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have taken part in demonstrations against the Colombian rebel movement FARC. The protesters were demanding the release of all hostages and an end to decades of violence.
Demonstrations were held in a number of cities, including Australia, Tokyo, The Hague and London. The demonstrations in Colombia drew the largest numbers of protesters. The authorities report that more than two million people took part in protests across the country.
Chavez’s friends are not that popular
Aw. How quaint. They think that the “rebels” are only kidnapping, murdering, and drug dealing because they think that’s what the people want, and if the people just demonstrate, the kindly communists will say, “Oh, you don’t LIKE this?? We are so terribly sorry, we completely misunderstood the will of the people. Do let us know how you’d like us to carry on!”
Great. Boo-yah to the demonstrators. Wake me up when anything changes.
