I have the “Key Chain of Death” in my purse——

All that stuff sounds great. I want some.

That works well, until you walk out of the restaurant, and open your car door, and start to sit down, when a guy in a mask comes flying at you with a gun pointed at your face, and says “Gimme the purse”.

Ladies, purses are a target, and a magnet.

I keep the following in my purse:

A LED flashlight (small)
2 pens
2 pieces of note paper
Lipstick
Nail file
Eve glasses
Kleenex
Gum
1 small Purell

My ID, credit cards, cash are in my pocket, where I can keep my hand and hip on them.

You might be a target, but you don’t have to let them get all the important stuff.

I have a fit when I have to wear something without pockets. You will never find me in a store carrying a “purse.” Everything is in my pocket and if I don’t have a pocket, you won’t find me in a store.
