I did not vote and I cannot vote.

If ALL Conservatives hate McCain then McCain would have lost every state. If all Republicans are Conservatives then McCain would have lost every state. The problem that you are facing is that not ALL Conservatives hate McCain and not all Republicans are Conservatives.

PS: McCain lost Michigan.

The problem is, as you say, that not all Republicans are conservatives. The Republicans who are moderates and liberals tend to support John McCain by large margins. Add to this the independents and cross-over democrats who are permitted (for reasons I cannot fathom) to vote in Republican primaries, and McCain comes out the winner.

I don’t like it, but there it is.

My reference to Michigan, BTW, was to the Democrat primary, where only Hillary Clinton was on the ballot. Of course, the Republican held a regular primary, with multiple candidates and everything, in Michigan.
