We just went through 4 years with a Sunspot number max at 50 or less. Looks like we will be there for at least another year, two maybe more.

Short term weather always is unpredictable. We do however know that we are due to enter another ice age historically speaking. That cycle has been going on for 100's of thousands of years. A lot of people were hoping Global Warming could prevent the fall. Looks like we might just a bunch of apes living on a water planet after all.

You know, btw, that our sun is an 11 year variable star (type G2v)? That graph is not too suprising. The last ice age was about 10,000 years ago, and it’s been speculated that we’re currently in a temporary lull, maybe because of the gulf stream sending equatorial heat northward. It could all change of course, the exact causes still largely random however.
