Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan may walk away from Kenya's peace talks after his security detail discovered his hotel room in Nairobi was bugged, according to a report.
Sources at the Serena Hotel, where the talks are taking place, said Annan's security detail became wary of his safety after discovering that his personal conversations were being intercepted, South Africa's Independent Newspapers reported.
Who may have planted the listening device and how long it was there remain unclear, the Independent reported.
Annan is said to be "livid," but it is not yet known whether he will walk away from the already troubled negotiations.

He should be used to it. EVerything he says and does in the UN building will be bugged. Ease of espionage is one of the few thinngs that made it worthwhile for the US to keep the damn thing there. Some of the stried which have emerged from the NSA have been remarkable in their frankness and the lack of fuss.
He is probably pissed that they heard him taking bribes. That would be quite annoying and cause a prompt departure.
Were the bugs in Coffee’s Kenyan hotel room (1) electronic, (2)creepy crawly, or (3) both.
You know, Kofi must be workin the oil for food angle again, and didn't want his room bugged, high stepping it with the Odinga Muslim supporters who have their hands inside of Saudi Wahabi pockets.
Without doubt, his anger was due to the fact his attempt to secure a bribe or payoff was thwarted by lack of security.
He has always had a price.....
