Yeah, but McQueeq says he’s a conservative now. He’s on record before all the world.
Let’s see how quick he flip-flops. I don’t think it will be that hard not to vote for him when November comes.
As conservatives we should strive to have gains in the Senate and Congress. Conservatives tend to grow a pair when they are in the opposition and this could lead to a grassroots rebuilding. If McCain became president the GOP would trend leftwards and be in a worse position long term.
Who ever said politics was easy?
The internal battle is DONE. John McCain will be our nominee.
Get past the personal and decide whether you want John McCain or Hillary Clinton taking the oath on Jan. 20th
That's it. This is our choice.
Is it the one I wanted? No. But, it's the one I've got.
And, it's your choice, too.
"Who in the world wrote this far-left slanted piece?????"
What part of this statement do you find to be not true?
I do agree with you on the second part of your comment.
IF we were to assign delegates in the same way the Democrats do “proportional” it would still be neck and neck between McCain and Romney.
This was sent to me by my district Republicans.
What would the Republican race look like today if every state Republican party were using a proportional allocation to the candidates? That is if anyone who got 10% or more was in on the allocation depending on the percentage of the vote he/she drew? I went through all 29 states where Republicans have selected delegates and re-allocated them based on this formula. The result is quite different from what we see today. It is quite surprising no matter who you support. Only the four candidates still in the race are considered. This is laid out against the current delegate count.
Candidate.........Current....Proportional
Mike Huckabee.....176.........212
John McCain.........680.........424
Mitt Romney.........270.........431
Ron Paul................16..........35
I think the current Republican process is broken.
As much as I hate McCain...the source of this info is Ross Perot...the same Ross Perot that gave us Clinton. I have to wonder why we have not heard from for years...and now, when another Clinton is on deck, he’s doing what he can to put down the Republican nominee.
Again...I’m not a McCain supporter, but Ross Perot and his hatred for Bush 41 is what put us in this position in the first place
And you call yourself a Conservative?
For the first time in my life...I'll NOT be voting for any Republican.
I'll be staying home on election day.
..and if Clinton or Obama wins...so be it.
I've had it with the idea that I have to vote for the 'lesser of 2 evils'...which seems to be the constant refrain of the Republican Party for a long time.
No more.
redrock
p.s. IF a good solid CONSERVATIVE candidate comes along...then I will revise my remarks.
p.p.s. Since McCain was considering being the VP running mate with John Kerry...will McCain return the favor and ask Kerry to be HIS VP pick???
Is this guy on McCain's paid staff? We couldn't have heard the same speech, "fiery", give me a break!
McCain likes Hillary and Kennedy and Kerry more than most conservative senators. he is very friendly with Hillary on a personal basis and as he shifts to the left he is not going to attack her. Hillary is also a woman and McCain’s base is the liberals and moderates who vote based on emotion and will not take kindly to a woman being attacked.
He will make softball statements against her, not really take the fight to her and clean her clock in a debate as Romney would have.

“I dont think it will be that hard not to vote for him when November comes.”
I think he will go ballistic or driven to the edge of insanity by either Obama or Clinton, and the media when they start ganging up on him.
I find it so depressing that the best the Republicans can come up with is a campaign based on the slogan: "Vote John McCain: Because You Hate Hillary More!" What kind of choice is that? Very depressing....
McCain now says he wants to limit federal entitlement programs. But just last year he fought very hard to add 12 million poor illegal-aliens to Medicaid and Social Security, which are means-tested entitlements programs. I conclude that McCain is either stupid or a liar, and I’m not sure which is worse.
On taxes they have the same policy based on class envy and whining about tax cuts for the rich. They both believe in global warming and there is no significant difference between them on other major issues.
Who writes this dribble.
I agree with you.
But, these are the cards the voters have given us.
I hope we're smart enough to use these cards to our advantage, gain a seat at the table, and defeat the great evil threat to America: Hillary/Obama
History has seen some extreme chit.
