How fast do you think the illegal’s attorney will sue the neighbors for kidnapping him.
Citizens arrest is not kidnapping. It is only false imprisonment/kidnapping if you hold an innocent person. Since one of them followed the guy back and could ID him, at least one of them knew he was the true criminal. Therefore a legal and sound citizens arrest.
