“Celebrities are no better or worse than any other random sampling of society. There are nice ones and there are @ssholes.”

That’s a nice platitude but I think reality is very different. Virtually every celeb I have ever heard of has shown themselves to be in the A-hole category. Can you name more than a handful who aren’t?

Perhaps folks in the traditional “celebrity” lines of work that are not A-holes don’t seek the typical trappings of celebrity.

yes, without even trying hard. You probably could too if you quit reading the tabloid press, which only focuses on celebrity morons. The vast majority of famous people quietly go about their business without ever appearing in a tabloid unless it is a fabricated story. Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Tom Selleck, Jane Seymour, Katherine Zeta Jones, Diane Lane, Ann Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Clair Danes, Kate Beckinsale, etc. etc.
