How can an educated 40-year-old woman be so dumb? Hmm, maybe the feminist echo-chamber in schools and the media have helped. At least Judith Warner is a wife and mother, unlike fellow NYT ninny Maureen Dowd, so maybe she won't get quite as bitter.

Geez, what is the MATTER with this woman?

And why does she have to inflict her nuttiness and anger on the rest of us?

My IQ is the lower for having wasted time skimming this thing.

If you’re going to have a fantasy, why would you want a grumpy old battleaxe in it?

It’s a fantasy.

Are her men friends and husbands Christians?

I doubt it!

If they were, they wouldn’t be having this conversation about the glories of infidelity in the first place.

This woman probably thinks “nubile” is a new flavor of smoothie at Jamba Juice.

I’d thought that in our little bubble, a bubble, it should be said, that was defined not by class or money or education, but rather by goodness and decency and values and realness (even I am laughing now)...

Oh, go ahead and just say it - your self-selected little bubble only comprises confused, latte-drinking, NYT-reading, NPR-listening, politically-correct, multi-cultural-loving, Democrat-voting, naive-as-children liberals, and you earnestly believe that anybody outside of that pathetic little bubble has no class or goodness or decency or values or realness, and therefore must be a total neanderthal... Is there even a single, solitary Bush voter inside your little bubble? I didn't think so... Your muddled conception of "diversity" is pretty narrow-minded, isn't it? LOL

She belongs to a Sunday night dinner club.

These are urban single career women who want to eat out but don’t dare try it on Friday or Saturday nights because those are date nights. To admit no date or the last minute possiblity of a date is intolerable.

They thus hang out together in commiseration and rationalization on Sunday.

From the comments section of the screed

Hi Judith Warner,

Were you living in a bubble during the last couple of decades? Otherwise you’d have noticed how little most men have changed.

No, dear, it’s not about qualifications. It never has been. It’s about power.

No, Martha Shelley, it's not about power ... it's about normal everyday men being repulsed by women with an attitude towards them like you've got.

To borrow a quote Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog ... "You will die alone"

Dear Judith

I feel your pain - I, too, am older, embittered by life, and am no longer sexually attractive to anyone with working eyeballs. At least I have eternity with Jesus to look forward to - not sure what keeps you going.

Hang in there

Now on the other hand, why would a beautiful young woman want to settle down with a grumpy old fart instead of a gorgeous young stud muffin with six pack abs? $$$$$$$$!
