Forget it. Gov. Felon Voting Rights Crist is a Jim McGreevey/Larry Craig nightmare just waiting to happen.

As a Florida Panhandle (conservative stronghold of FL.) resident, I would like to paraphrase Rodney Dangerfield:

"Take our governor....PLEASE!"

I pretty much knew that nobody could come in and fill Jeb's shoes, but I was hoping for Crist to, at least, make a better stab at it.

By restoring ex-cons’ rights, in other words, Florida’s new Republican governor has added tens of thousands of Democratic voters to the rolls — possibly pushing a House seat or two into the blue column, certainly making life a little bit easier for Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or whoever else wins next year’s Democratic presidential nomination.

I hope he does.

This would absolutely seal McAmnesty’s fate.

If we are going to get Amnesty, I want the Dems to take the blame, not the GOP.

The day a GOP president signs an Amnesty bill is the day I change my registration and find another party however insignificant it may be. I will then invest my time, effort, and money in that party.

“Charlie is telegenic” ~ varina davis

If McCain wants to take the chance on another possible “October surprise”, he’ll be dumb enough to pick “Mr. Suntan” as his running mate.

“Charlie is telegenic”

I keep thinking we will eventually see him in drag....like a cheap-a$$ version of Little Richard.

Hey, at least the female interns will have one less {your favorite description of Bill Clinton here} to worry about during their work day.

I voted for Charlie (no other real choice) but he's starting to creep me out.

I can just see it now.

President McCain: “VP Crist and I would like to join the city of San Francisco in the celebration of Stonewall Union Day. I am proud to say that VP Crist is here and he’s queer. As for the agents of intolerance on the right, f@ck you all! This White House isn’t run by the Christian right anymore.”

Bingo. Not even a Democrat Governor would've had the cojones to have pulled off a stunt like that. Had that been signed pre-2000, you know who'd have been sworn in on January 20, 2001.

Perhaps I shouldn’t say this, but it’s completely true. The first times I noticed Charlie Crist, the thought that just popped into my head was that he looked like he just got back from a Mafia funeral.

Maybe the image of McCain/Crist will be a positive one that wins votes, and maybe it won’t. But sometimes those impressions that come to us unbidden can be very influential.

I live in Florida...If McCain picks Crist I will vote for McCain just to get rid of Crist...then we can work on getting rid of Mel the RINO senator
