Who do the Palestinians need to protect themselves from? Certainly not Israel who is willing to let them become a state. The other Arab nations in the area? not likely. Themselves? i.e. Hamas? That sounds stupid doesn’t it. The people involved in this quest for a Palestinian State have been at it so long that they can not look outside the process and see what it has devolved into. Now they say they need billions to protect themselves from themselves, sounds like a fool's game to me.

Well put. I was going to ask who they needed protection from too, but it got lost in my rant.

When I’m thinking really darkly I sometimes wish we would arm both sides to the teeth and let them kill each other. I believe they would try to kill each other off before trying to wipe Israel off the map. How sick is that?
