He will also be remembered for associating with lunatic political fringe groups and individuals.
He is pretty much a loner amoung the “finalists” with maybe some commentary from Fred. The last thing Washington is worried about is the Constitution, and the liberal socialists have it targeted for destruction since it is an obstacle (the only obstacle) to their socialist agenda.
The last thread snapped in 1932, with FDR’s election, alas.
In six months no one will remember wRong Paul. Doubly so if he loses his Congressional seat.
Who cares about the Constitution when the government is passing out money?
Aren’t the only people who support the Constitution either troofers, KKK, skinheads, Birchers, anti-Semites, or pro-Islamofascists?

Just wait until Hillary’s judges find “hate speech” laws constitutional.
The nation is lost I believe. because it has fallen into socialism and its not getting out of it. When the people know they can vote their way into other peoples pockets then its probably too late.
Not at all ... there will be thousands of us wandering in the wilderness, trying to evade the police state.
In fact many of us are doing that right now.
true. I know I’ll get flamed for this but that’s ok. Ron Paul is going by the constitution even with his foreign policy. The problem lies in us, not him. WE as a people (sheeple)have let our politicians on BOTH sides of the isle get away with usurping the constitution for so long that on the defense side of it there seems to be no going back now. But make no mistake about it. Rip a constitutionalist all you want...it’s still the people’s fault for letting our so called leaders get away with their dealings in other countries business. I agree with Paul on just about everything...but the defence thing is a huge issue now. So what can we do? I don’t know.
let freedom ping!
I’m a bit concerned about the well-being of Ron Paul’s mind.
Our one party system of government, (the Big Government Party, with its Democrat and Republican wings) have turned up the heat in the skillet a little too fast. Some of us frogs have begun to notice.
AND WE’RE HOPPING MAD!! (Sorry I couldn’t help it!)
Ron Paul nailed his fate with conservatives and mainstream Republicans due to a number of things: key issues, his newsletters, fringe group support, quotes on 911 and from Sinclair Lewis, ineffectiveness in Congress, etc.
He and his followers can wrap him in the US Constitution all they want. I have seen a lot of underirable people try to wrap themselves in either the Bible or the US Constitution throughout my life and they are still undersirable.
Something has to give or everything Paul is saying will come true.
He may not be the candidate of choice. But he is the candidate of voice. That is why the establishment is pushing Paul away.
Communism managed to squelch the voice of reason long enough that the people were already screwed before they woke up and realized the fact of the matter.
Americans are sure a bunch of sleepy people.
If only we could have someone who espouses many of Paul’s ideas but without (a) his foreign policy stance, (b) his goofy looks and quirky mannerisms and (c) his sing-songy hi-pitched voice.
Item (a) alone kills his credibility with me, but the sad fact is that even if he is saying something I agree with, he still comes across as a goober. I have a hard time imagining a State Of The Union speech from this guy.
That might sound superficial, but it’s true.
Ron Paul is a reliable member in good standing of the Blame America First crowd. Then, he blames Israel. If the speech drags on, he says some interesting things about the Constitution. So what?
After the rotten crew of candidates we have been offered, I would vote for Paul tomorrow.
Never thought I would say that, but the guy makes more sense than all of the others.
I am sick of the GOP selling us out to open borders and socialism.
By definition, all candidates are ‘standing on the constitution’. It is the basic unit of our laws. Saying it over and over as campaign rhetoric doesn’t make it any more so.
More important is their positions on how they use their constitutionally granted powers. The constitution cannot tell us how to deal with nuclear proliferation and islamic fascism., and that is where Paul fails.
His legacy will be, “At least I tried”.. but the American people especially the women wanted socialism..
