I am more concerned as to whether this is just a continuation of the Clinton’s bankrolling their campaigns (and themselves) with foreign monies like they did with Chinese money.
Half of Bill’s earnings are her’s anyway. This seems like a “slick” way to launder foreign money directly into the campaign.

I don’t know much about New York marital law, but I doubt that 1/2 of his earnings belong to her. I don’t think NY is a community property law state.
You can be certain that Bill got a lot of their money from foreign interests, but there is no way you would ever prove that this particular $5 mill came from any particular overseas source. They aren’t that stupid.
Still, I am convinced that there is more here than what meets the eye. When they asked her where she got the money, she stated very emphatically that she got it “from my money.” She protests to much. I think that’s probably a half truth, and that there is an argument to be made here that this loan is illegal.
This is particularly so in light of the fact that the internet is teeming with speculation, and she’s said nothing to dispel the questions.
