May I ask, how did you come across a site labeled "minivannews", that supposedly is in the Maldives, and features this French author, and critic of China? "Empire of Lies"???

Yeah, I'd bet China is that! They won't even admit to themselves they are an 'empire', since they believe their own P.R.

They go about both subverting efforts of any critical, or even merely questioning voices within, while outwardly are using capitalistic methods to expand their reach & influence.

minivannews is the main thorn in the side of the autocratic Gayoom clan that runs the Maldives with a iron fist.

They are good people who write good news and provide a platform for other good people throughout Asia, the website’s part-owners and their families have been beaten tortured imprisoned and exiled for their belief in free society.
