I would not go quite as far in my praise for the man as you do, but I would agree he does seem to be a pretty good politician.

I think that was Mitt’s biggest failing, he wasn’t necessarily a good politician. He ran his campaign as a business project and it didn’t work for a variety of reason. I do hope that the Huckster wins enough to take it to the convention. Two wild convention could be very interesting this summer.

I assume you are a Paul fan if you are tossing around the term neocon so loosely.

No...hardly. My preferences were as follows:

Tanc, Dunk, Fred, Romney, Huck, and lastly will probably hold my nose for Queeg.

NeoCons are to me basically get along lite on culture war moderates as best exemplified by Britt Humes gang, George Bush I and II, and all the New Republic writers who got left behind and joined the GOP when the Dems went further left and said writers grew up a little.

Etc.

I am more in tune with GOP folks like Jeff Sessions and Haley Barbour and DeMint....I liked Santorum a bit. Those folks may be NeoCons to hardcore paleos.

It's an odd groove to find to be a social hard righty and find much common GOP ground anymore

Bush and Co's positions on immigration and spending pretty much killed that.

Republicans,

I sincerely believe that we must come together to support McCain, mend the GOP and defeat the dimocrats.

Makes sense to me; certainly hope it makes sense to you.

Thanks for clarifying. The Paul fans throw it around at just about anyone who supports the war against the jihadists. Doesn’t mattter if they are an old blueblood moderate like papa Bush, a long time old school republican like Rummy, or a rock ribbed reaganite like Hunter, etc just because they happened to have talked to Bill Kristol at some point.

Huck is not only very pro-life but VERY, VERY strong on our 2nd amendment rights. There is none better.

I'm not a single issue, or even dual issue, voter.

Mick Huckebee is a tax and spend liberal who just happens to be right on two issues. Issues that, interestingly enough, McCain is also more or less on the right over.

Add to that the fact that Huckabee has the morals of a Clinton when it comes to soliciting gifts and donations, he is, quite simply, even worse than McCain.

If you don’t care about the LIFE issue, or the 2nd amendment, shame on you.

And since you don’t seem to do your research, I will help you:

Senator McCain supports human embyronic stem cell research, and according to the late Henry Hyde wanted to weaken the pro-life plank in the GOP platform. McCain supported the ICC (where the International Criminal Court would be judging Americans).

He also was part of the gang of 14, which has stopped President Bush’s judicial nominess for circuit courts, etc. from going to the floor for an up or down vote.

I heard a couple of McCain’s colleagues say on the radio that he went against the leadership, when the Republicans had the majority, including the culture issues.

McCain voted AGAINST drilling in ANWR, which tells me that he won’t support drilling ANYWHERE in our OIL-RICH COUNTRY. MEANWHILE, China is drilling offshore of Florida.

John McCain is also the senator that liberal Democrats come to when they want a senator from the Republican side of the aisle. For instance: McCain/Feingold (limits free speech); McCain/Kennedy (amnesty); McCain/Lieberman (50 cents per gallon gas tax increase).

Senator McCain’s pro-illegal immigration stance would hurt our national security, as border security is national security. Known terrorists have been caught crossing our borders.

MIKE HUCKABEE:

Pro-LIFE, which is my litmus test, understands the Communist China threats, and

SECOND AMENDMENT-
• Lifetime member of the NRA, member for over 15 years
• First Governor to have concealed-carry permit
• Removed restrictions on carry permit holders
• Protected gun manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits
• Opposes reauthorization of the Assault Weapon Ban
• Opposes expansion of the unconstitutional “Brady Bill”
• Opposes waiting period for purchase of firearms
• Opposes background checks on private firearms transactions at gun shows
• Will nominate judges who interpret the constitution as the Founders intended, rather than as a “living document reflecting current political trends or opinions”
• An avid hunter and conservationist, and a member of the Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and BASS.

JOHN MC CAIN:

“Arizona Senator John McCain is running for President (again). He has been courting various conservative leaders in his quest to secure the Republican nomination. McCain wants voters to believe that he is a conservative... but his record would certainly suggest otherwise.

Take, for instance, his record on gun rights and political speech affecting Second Amendment activists. Abysmal, wretched, and pathetic are words that come to mind.

GOA Ratings For John McCain”

Yeah, the intellectual dishonesty of some of the people here is a little disheartening.

We could of had a decent candidate to vote for, but now, we have choose between McCain and some one that the Grand Ayatollah James Dobson has anointed at the last second.
