Barack Obama is just as much white as he is black. He is bi-racial individual, not a “black” one. Therefore, if elected he won’t be the first black President.
Of course the question itself assumes and presumes that America is a racist society in which blacks cannot succeed. Were that true, Barack Obama would never have been elected to the US Senate or gotten as far as he has and Oprah Winfey, one of the richest women in the world who is black, would be scrubbing floors for minimum wage. His support of strict constructionist, Constitutionally based limited government and economic and individual liberty is what is attractive to me, not his color.
