Why would she be merely "confident" that it will not happen? She should know if there are any scandals; if she knows there aren't any, then it would be impossible for one to emerge.
If the quote is accurate, Ms. Clinton is saying that she's confident she's been and will continue to be successful in covering up her scandals.
I guess she no longer believes in the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy—if she’s confident that they won’t cook up another phony scandal, like Whitewater, Monica, Juanita, Kathleen Willey, the cattle futures, Castle Grande, Chinese Communist campaign contributions, the Riady coal bribery, the burglaries, the Arkancides, Gennifer Flowers, etc.
