I'm sure they were displaying it out of their own love for the guy. Nearly ALL Hispanics love Che, even the ones that don't know what he was, just because he was a famous Hispanic. My high schooler has seen kids wear shirts with his image many times. Not a word is said by the teachers.

Have you watched any of Obama’s speeches? To his chanting about change, he has the crowd shouting in response, “Si se puede, Si se puede!!”
