Clinton leads in Ohio poll national political editor February 12, 2008 04:59 PM
Hillary Clinton's hopes in Ohio appear well-placed, according to a new poll out today.
The SurveyUSA survey gives her a 56 percent to 39 percent lead over Barack Obama, thanks to a 3-2 lead among whites and strong support in the central and eastern parts of the Buckeye State.

Shilley may be shutout in Feb., but if she comes back with Ohio and Texas, this one will go on to PA and to the convention beyond that, with delegate seating wars, super delegates all that other good stuff that will be a delight to watch.

They obviously have not talked to many people in NE Ohio they hate the beast and are voting for Obama

Like Rush said today,
it doesn’t matter who wins the primaries, Hillary will be the nominee of the Democrat party.

Truly there are at least two Ohios. Hillary probably gets the southern one with Obama getting the northern one, and as usual, the issue gets decided in Columbus.

If Hillary can carry Ohio for the Dems in November she will win the election.

I have to admit it is fun watching them battle it out, something the Republican race is sorely missing.

Shrillery will also do well in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Hawaii.

Boy, won’t that be hard to explain to all our liberal friends. Many who are new voters and trust dems.

After Rush read an interview today (done yesterday with hussein) and listening to Rush read the transcript... it was obvious that this dumbo, chi-town dope dealer hasn’t the foggiest idea of what the powers and responsibilities that come with the office of President entail... he does not understand that he is bound by Supreme Court decisions... and he has no idea of the Constitutional guidelines having to deal with the Senate and Treaties. He is a buffoon... an empty suit... and it is a darn shame that we do not have a Conservative to rip out his inner marx and shove it where the Sun don’t shine. It has nothing to do with color... it has everything to do with character and principle.

Obama will spend millions of dollars on ads in Ohio. This race will be very close when all is said and done. Hopefully they will poll every week between now and March 4. The numbers will move towards Obama.

Their primary is a good indication how they would run our country.

Obama’s support in Northeast Ohio, which includes Cleveland and Cuyahoga county, is very strong and N.E. Ohio has a population slightly above 4 million. The population estimate for Ohio in 05’ is 11,501,181. Given this fact if Obama really does carry North East Ohio it will give him about 35% of the delegates just from this region. So out of the 161 delegates oh Ohio he can easily win 56 right there.
The Cincy area is favoring Clinton however and is definitely in the lead in the greater Columbus area which accounts for about 17 percent of the delegates.
If Obama just wins some pockets in the southwest and central Ohio then it could be a really interesting race.
