If Darwinism—which we teach in the schools—is true, then they are right: Slaughtering and eating animals is just as bad as the Holocaust.

Actually, there is one glaring inconsistency with PETA, Darwinists, and any and all other non-Theistic moralists, regardless of their ideology:

In the absence of G-d, nothing is wrong!!!

I'll never understand the tendency of modern atheists to reject the sound advice of Epicurus (avoid pain and maximize pleasure till you die) and drive themselves to distraction pursuing utterly meaningless "goals" and "ideals" of various kinds.

I've read the claim made that "the first thing the Communists teach the young people is evolution." If that is so, I fail to understand how that gets them all worked up over "social injustices" that, in the absence of a Divine Lawgiver, cannot exist. Goodness knows, if anyone ever managed to convince me to believe in atheism (G-d forbid!) I certainly wouldn't waste my time worrying about "social justice" (or even "the triumph of truth over falsehood," since in the absence of G-d those terms are without value).

They do (the commies), and if not the first thing, it’s one of the first and it’s a constant drumbeat. I’m speaking from first hand experience. The reason being for the commies to brainwash the kids that God doesn’t exist. In the absence of God the Communist Party steps in and it decides who is to live, or to die or... you can fill in the blanks. And if you don’t conform, they have the apparatus in place to make you toe the line. KGB comes to mind.
