Socialist Insecurity is a pay as you go system. There is no lock box of funds. Just a bunch of IOUs.

Those who WERE contributing are retiring now and expecting their payments. Those still making payments will be responsible for a greater per capita share.

This is what makes the Baby Boom “BOOM” in numbers a problem.

This lesson might just be enough of a reality check for allot of middle class democrats to see the light. The mindless, unquestioning, raised to follow democrats will suddenly get an education in “what we have been voting for” 101. Should prove interesting.

This is what makes the Baby Boom “BOOM” in numbers a problem.

Death rates for a given age are relatively constant. At some point the leading edge of the population boom will move into the death windows. The spike observed in births will be matched by a similar spike in deaths. At some point, it will reach equilibrium between new boomers entering retirement and the leading edge assuming room temperature. It won't be an endless upward spike in demand for SS benefits.
