This is what “moderates” never understand. Reaching out to liberals doesn’t do a damn bit of good. The idiots who think McCain is going to build a new “moderate coalition” that doesn’t need conservatives because he’ll bring in liberals are just that...idiots.

Bush I started his administration off by offering to hold out his hand to Congress. They duped him into a “compromise” in which taxes were raised in return for a promise to cut spending “sometime later”. Bush took the hit for breaking his pledge not to raise taxes, and the Democrats broke their word and didn’t come through on the spending cuts.

Bush II has supported amnesty, big government, and has even given awards out to liberals like Ted Kennedy. The left still hates him with a ferocity that can’t be fathomed.

McCain will suffer the same fate. After years of reaching out to the likes of Ted Kennedy and Russ Feingold, after defending RINOs like Jeffords and Chafee, they’ll all turn on him with absolute fury.

Like Bush I & II, he’ll have shoved the conservative base overboard, and he’ll find the whores he courted while doing it prefer another man.

This is good news. I would have been a lot more worried if this loser endorsed McCain.

If John McCain had lost his bid for the nomination, would he have endorsed Clinton or Obama?

Uh, he not only endorsed Bush after he lost in 2000, he gave a good speech at the RNC and campaigned for him as well.

There's a lot to hate about McCain, but to the best of my knowledge, he's never endorsed a Democrat--unlike Rudy and Romney.

Has McCain endorsed Obama yet? I am waiting for that to happen.

Instead of taking the oath of office, OsamaObama will get a crown.

If it looks like the work of Hillary why assist her?

What no honor among thieves moderates?

I guess I'm not surprised. I'd give it even odds that if McCain wasn't running he'd be mulling over just such an endorsement too.

I didn’t say it WAS the work of Hillary, it just looks like something her campaign is capable of.

LOL, the sheer kookiness of this race leaves nothing left to the imagination. Just might happen.

I did hear on Ingrahams show that one of McCain's campaign managers said he would quit if Obama wins the Dem nomination. His reasoning is that he could not attack Obama. Geesh, what a wuss.

That’s the kind of crap that doesn’t belong here.

Why can't he post that? We went on and on about Larry Craig, and there were no drugs involved with that, nor any evidence of solicitation. Obama has an admitted history of cocaine use. We certainly discussed sordid matters every single day during Clinton. I say let the man be heard.

This is a resume enhancer for the Dem nomination.

It’s probably also true.

he's never endorsed a Democrat

No, but he apparently was ready to jump parties in 2000 and again in 2004. Kerry is the one who said McCain wanted to be his VP.

I'd guess for the same reason General Benedict Arnold sold out to the Brits.

And Ann Coulter's reason?

"Why can't he post that?"

Apparently that person wants to protect Obama.

McCain was in Rhode Island last fall as Linc desperately tried to hold onto his seat. Words cannot describe the disdain that I have for this imbecile. Note to Linc, nobody gave a shit when you wrote in W’s father for president in 04’ and nobody gives a shit today when you are endorsing Obama. This smells like a desperate play for attention, look at me and buy my new book.. What an azzz!
