Yes. He has several children. The first family of kids were rather displeased when he dumped their mother for “Cindy” (think Teresa Heinz and how these guys latch onto these rich women). After all, it’s just as easy to love a rich woman and leave the poor ones in the dust. When he came back from Vietnam, his first wife had been in an automobile accident and was crippled up and had gained a few pounds, gaining my undying admiration. After all, he fell for Cindy like a “brick”. Brick is always what I thought a turd was called, but that’s just me. I read that the first family of kids have made peace with him; so good.

Or his marriage could have broken up because McCain was just back from an extended vacation @ the Hanoi Hilton??? I’m assuming that being separated for over five years as well as everything that he went through as a POW probably ruined that marriage. However, despite the hurt feelings, it seems that all is forgiven. McCain’s children from his first marriage have all been campaigning for him and I believe that one of his sons from his first marriage works for Cindy.

As for his second marriage, the age difference probably made it creepy @ the time they married, but it’s less disturbing since Cindy’s in her fifties, McCain comes off as younger than seventy-one, and they’ve been married for quite awhile. She’s also constantly on the trail. She warms up the crowd with the Bridget McCain story.

I read the entire article and thought that it was nice. Some random comments.... Jack McCain is incredibly yummy, but a bit too young for me. However, I’m sure that it would help John McCain among the Gen Y set if we saw more of him. It was funny to see Senator McCain in the world’s dorkiest hat. And it’s kinda neat that the kids are going to be involved. I have to admit that my new guilty pleasure is reading Megan McCain’s blog. It’s pretty fluffy, but she does love her dad and makes hilarious comments about campaigning. I’m wondering if we’ll see more of Jack and Jimmy (seems probable).
