After all, he signed an abortion rights statute in California, then raised taxes.
Good point. FReepers would not stand for Reagan if he were just starting out now. Abortion, amnesty... We need to use the Good L-rd’s power of forgiveness on a few of the previous moves of candidates, in order to develop anyone who’d fit the Reagan shoe size.
And Owen raised the point on another thread that as unhappy as we are with our nominee, it is partly our fault for being utopian conservatives. Only partly, though. The MSM totally stacks the deck for us, and that still makes me sick.
Sure, Ronald Reagan and Mitt Romney - twins, LOL.
Under the definitions used here, Ronald Reagan was an untrustworthy flipper.
After all, he signed an abortion rights statute in California, then raised taxes.
Within ten days?
I can think of a couple of things Reagan did that I don’t approve of. Try ten or twenty for McCain and Romney.
It takes a lot of mental contortions to get that out of any comparison between Reagan and Romney.
It was quite tiring to see people all the time tout Romney as the new Reagan.
Anything RR did doesn't come any way near the title "untrustworthy flipper".
Romney continues to show he owns (and has "honestly" earned it) that title.
