Remember, this is totally unconfirmed, but at least one producer at Network got it from a very disgruntled but well-informed campaign staffer.

I wish she’d quit America and just go away - maybe to Venezuela.

If true, I’ll bet she loses NY in the general election.

Impossible. She promised the voters in New York in 2006 when she ran again that she wanted to stay in the Senate.

If she does this it will be a fake, she’ll lie and say she’s resigning from the Senate, not turn in her resignation and see what happens. She would only do this at an absolutely crucial time, e,g, the day before the key primary,

Hey, they’ll be looking for a junior Senator. Maybe I ought to run. I’ve lived in New York as much as she did before she was elected. And I’ve been to a couple of Yankee games. And I had a genuine New York pizza one time. In Boise.

Hillary blew it. She should have run in 2004, but she thought she would be the automatic nominee—she never in her wildest dreams could have predicted BO

It could buy her a few days of favorable headlines and a possible March 4th comeback. She and Governor Spitzer are close, so she could get him to hold off an appointment until after March 4th and then reappoint her if things do not work out.
She could also drop out and run as VP on a McCain ticket if the fireworks between her and Osama Obama get really ugly. But I don't think so as the worst questions she has raised so far are about Tony Rezco.
That being said, I'll believe it when I see it.

If she quits for a while but still crashes in Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania, could the governor name her as her own replacement?
Is Senator Johnson back to voting again? If Hillary left and Johnson wasn't around to vote, that would leave the votes for leadership positions at 49-49. Could the Republicans take back control?
