Campaign workers for Sen. Barack Obama are still under fire for displaying a flag featuring communist hero Che Guevara. But Obama has his own controversial connections. He is, in fact, an associate of a Chicago-based socialist group with ties to the Socialist International, access to millions of labor union dollsrs and connections to expert political consultants, including a convicted swindler. In 1996, he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for an Illinois state senate seat. Later, the Chicago DSA newsletter reported that Obama as a state senator, showed up to eulogize Saul Mendelson, one of the "champions" of "Chicago's democratic left" and a long-time socialist activist. Obama's relationship with the socialists, who groomed and backed him, has been generally ignored. Blogger Steve Bartin has uncovered a fascinating video showing Obama campaigning for openly socialist Bernie Sanders of Vermont. In 2007, the National Journal said Obama had established himself as "the most liberal Senator." More liberal than Sanders? That's quite a feat. An Obama bill, "The Global Poverty Act," has just been rushed through the Senate. This legislation (S.2433) commits the U.S. to spending hundreds of billions of dollars more in foreign aid on the rest of the world in order to comply with the "Millenium Goals" established by the United Nations. Observers think the Senate Democrats may try to pass it quickly to give Obams a precious legislative "victory" that he could run on. Inside-trader George Soros manipulates campaign finance laws to benefit far-left elements in the Democratic Party. Soros has financially contributed to the Obama campaign.

Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media appeared on the Glenn Beck show Thursday and detailed Obama's extreme Left connections. So far he's been mouthing celestial platitudes about "change," "hope," etc. As Rush has said regarding his oratory skills, "No one says 'nothing' better." But this vapid oratory conceals a serious threat to America. The only thing worse than having barely any experience at all is having little experience that's all BAD.

Regardless of his oath to defend the Constitution, Obama is in contempt of the Constitution as evidenced by his constitutionally unauthorized federal spending proposals.

The post is right on target, but it’s worth noting that Obama is not the only Demonrat U.S. Congresscritter with links to the Democratic Socialists of America. Lots of them share that “distinction.”

In a word: Civil War.

America, as a free and sovereign nation, cannot survive as such with a committed marxist as POTUS. There will be a reckoning, and it won’t be pretty.

What will be the catalyst, the spark that sets off the conflagration? I don’t know, but it could very well be along the lines of Lexington and Concord, when the brown shirt legions of tyranny come to confiscate the firearms of the American people.

Thanks for that post. I agree with you completely that the Constitution is being ignored and that we need original intent justices on the Supreme Court. Let me suggest that the present administration and Congress are blatantly ignoring the Constitution in regard to one of the paramount crises we are facing today: illegal immigration.

Article. IV., Section. 4. “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.” Nothing can be more obvious than the fact that we are confronted with a massive illegal foreign invasion but most of our elected representatives are blithely ignoring their constitutionally required duty to stop it.

I don’t wish for a civil war, as such conflicts are the greatest of tragedies. But, sometimes there is no alternative. The next couple years are going to be very interesting.

However, it would be a good thing to know how "to play the same game" but produce a video (and not that amateur one in contraditon of NO YOU CAN'T) that had substance, still HIP, brought some fun into the election process to bring together ideas, satire..something..anything to be remembered when the voter pulls the curtain on the voting booth come Nov.

If McCain were to speak, would you run out to listen? You would out of duty, but doubt out of anticipation breeding excitement. When Hill and Barry pull a speaking engagement--it draws all voters no matter what party line just because 'they know how' and "they can". Nothing wrong with PR to get the word out. Obama is so good at it, he does not need to say anything, but Change and Yes We Can. People cheer~

Americans have lost faith in their government, so if the Beagle, Snoopy, that just won at Westminster was running for President..Hail, to the Commander In Chief.. it would draw more crowds then McCain..wait he is already! The likeability factor of a beagle, wins out over the candidates for President.

I think you’ve got a point. But the trick is find something that motivates and at the same time is something of substance. Obama is more like a televangelist addressing a congregation than a serious politician. McCain is about as charismatic as a dentist. By the way, with the likely future nominees of both parties I just might write-in Snoopy.
