Joseph certainly was NOT Muslim but he is related to their father Ishmael, first child of Abraham.

I have no clue if Joseph’s remains are actually still in this tomb but if they are it sure would be interesting to have a DNA study done to tell us about him.

well, the TV mnister is wrong. Ishmael would have been one of the fore-runners of Peninsular arabs (ie BEdouins who live in what is now Saudi arabia, remember that Syrians, Egyptians etc. are NOT real arabs, no matter what they want to believe -- they want to pretend to be arabs because the koran says that Arabs are superior people because Mo was one of them, hence all Muslims try to act like arabs -- that's why the Taliban forced men to wear beards, because Mo had a beard, that's why Pakistanis and Afghanis and Iranis who are ARyanic peoples try to pretend to be arabic, ditto for Malays and Indonesians who are afro-asiatic.
