I can’t stand seeing all the childish epithets and insults hurled around at FR; the hateful infighting among the enemies Socialism in the historic struggle against ideological evil we all know we’re LOSING.
McCain won’t nominate RUTHER BADER ACLU-types to the SCOTUS. Hillary and Obama will. More than one socialist justice will step down if either wins knowing their seat will go to a YOUNG, like-minded dogmatic jurist.
McCain’s has at least stated publicly he’ll put forward constructionist nominees like Roberts and Alito; he’s on the right side of the war and at least we have some chance of moving him on other issues. You’re exactly right, we’re in for a nightmare if either democrat wins with anything like a mandate and it may take decades before we have even a chance of undoing the damage.

And when McCain (if he wins the election) grants amnesty by executive order (out of spite) and adds millions upon millions of bottom feeding socialists/dems to the government trough are you still going to feel so warm and fuzzy and superior?
First off, you don't know what he will do. He's said over and over that he heard us, he'll build the fence first. Does that mean it's guaranteed? Of course not. But do you like your chances better with a DEM president, with a mandate, and both houses? Of course not. If we do business with McCain, we might get a good deal. With a DEM, we have no chance. Those are your choices.
Second, GWB is for amnesty, but if he were running again, against Obama or Hillary, I'd vote for him again. Those are the choices. It's not rocket science.
Last, how I feel has nothing to do with it. I don't need to feel superior. You are right, I am warm, and quite fuzzy, and truth be told, I am superior as well, but that doesn't change the facts:
Come November we'll have a clear choice: McCain or the DEM. With McCain, if we play ball, we've got some chance of getting some things we want. With a DEM, we have NO chance. And those are the ONLY choices. Hell, a 5 year old would know what to do.

What victory?There is NEVER going to be victory in Iraq.
We either stay there permanently or we leave eventually and Iraq reverts to another Muslim country that wants to destroy us.
