The opposite of Gun Free Zone would be Heavily Armed Zone. And where might one find such a place? A police department or military base, for example. And how many acts by deranged gunmen occur on these premises? And when they do, how extensive are the casualties?

The glaring disparity between the number of such acts committed in Gun Free Zones vs Heavily Armed Zones suggests that arms do, in fact, contribute to the peace and tranquility desired by a society that strives to protect innocent life.

But why stop there? Those who favor restricting gun rights (by deeming it a priviledge- which it ain't), are actually aiding and abetting criminals who slaughter innocents at-will under the presumption that these losses of life are preferrable to the mayhem and death that would result from citizens carrying 'uninfringed' and able to respond immediately to a threat.

Fortunately for the various judges, police chiefs, mayors, and various states' legislators, the finger-of-blame cannot be pointed in their direction as having contributed directly to any particular act or crime against innocents. Sadly, the carnage against innocents will continue under a logic that, even Mr. Spock might say, "is illogical".
