Clearly the one thing this writer Steyn quotes would like FAR more than Obama winning would be the sight of him murdered, so he can have the joy of calling all Americans fascists.

I loathe Obama's politics, but the LAST thing I want is for him to be martyred. I would even prefer he WIN to that, because then his policies will be discredited.

But this bizarre person is absolutely broiling in hate, and would rather see Obama sacrificed so he can whoop it up for years shouting 'You're a fascist, you're a fascist!"--THAT would please him more than any success Obama could have.

I suspect that much of the left would rather see their candidate martyred then in office pursuing his agenda and alienating most of the country as a result. Martyrs are more useful.
