But c'mon...who are you trying to kid? If Hillary switched parties and got that magical 'R' by her name, you'd be insisting that I vote for that liberal jerk as well.

LOL. You make a lot of assumptions. I never voted for Tom Ridge, for instance. In '04, I did not vote for Specter, although he had to bend over backwards to lose my vote and even then I probably did the wrong thing if my goal is to advance an agenda rather than feel warm and fuzzy.

I said this in another post: If Hillary -- regardless of party -- had a history of supporting pro-life causes, consistently voted to confirm strict constructionists as judges, generally (if not perfectly) recognized 2A rights, supported tax cuts as often as not, did not seek to undermine our efforts in Iraq, and had the endorsements of Ollie North and Tom Cobourn, and was running against someone -- regardless of party --who was a closet communist and disciple of Saul Alinsky and had accepted campaign contributions from Chinese communists, I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

If one term keeps the presidency out of the hands of Clinton and Obama, so be it.

No one in their right mind, and having the DNA necessary for sheer physical survival, could ever acquiese to either Clinton or Obama being commander-in-chief.

Good people - wake up! Use the survival DNA that the Good Lord gave you.

“Digital Sniper” is a NEWBIE of 2008-01-22. He or she or it is a TROLL.

A number of these have miraculously appeared on FR in the last week or so - all similarly working to stoke up, as a fifth-column, conservative opposition to McCain on this and other websites.

They just go when discovered and come back under another guise.

These are not just individual Trollops. This appears to be a planned operation.

If the only way you can assuage your conscience for supporting a liberal is by calling me names, then you're really not worth the time I'm taking to type a reply.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for the confirmation. The conscience does not need assuaging - since it lacks the duplicity of those who surreptitiously attempt to create divisions among and between good people. Have a nice day yourself.

“Dream on! Dream on!
If your incredible scenario should actually take place, we’d end up with a man on a white horse and a fascist system anyway.”

Its amazing that you think so little of your fellow Americans who would value their liberty above all else.
I very highly doubt that your scenario would occur ... you underestimate the resolve of the true American citizen.

Lets hope it does not come to this, but it is best to always prepare for such an inevitable situation.
That is what the 2nd Amendment is all about.

The American voting public is roughly divided between Democrats who are now agonizing between Obama and Madam Clinton, and Republicans who have, in effect, nominated McCain. Most Americans sat home, watched football and couldn’t care less or bother about politics or their future liberty.
Am I being overly cynical?

So you're going to reward the leftmost wing of the Democrats by letting Clinton or Obama get elected?

The reason they're running so far to the left is that RINOs consistently fail to offer any reason not to. Democrat-Lite is generally a totally nonsensical position.

Generally, if it's worth implementing a program at all, it will be worth spending the resources to do it right. Conversely, if one will not be willing to spend the resources to implement a program properly, it's often best not to implement it at all.

If one candidate plans to implement a program and give it the resources that are expected to be necessary, while another plans to implement the program but starve it of needed resources, whose plan makes most sense? If the program would be a good thing, it should receive the necessary funding. If it would not be a good thing, it should receive zero. While partial funding may in some cases be better than full funding, in practically any such case zero funding would be better still. If a candidate isn't willing to argue for zero funding, the candidate has no plausible argument for not supplying full funding.

Believe what you want. I know differently.

If there are any divisions being created, it is by the shrill and asinine posts that the liberal RINO supporters make on this forum. Last I saw, this was a CONSERVATIVE forum, not a Liberal-Republican-At-All-Costs forum.

And it is most telling how you choose to attack me personally rather than even attempt to counter the facts about the liberal RINO you so obnoxiously support.

“There will be no second term because there will be no first term. McCain will carry ten to twelve states in the fall, max.

McCain = Dukakis.”

Bummer. I was hoping for:

McCain = McGovern.

Actually, a part of me would love to see a 50 state blowout. It would be a lesson our RNC and RINOs would not soon forget.

I am not attacking you “personally”, Digital Sniper (2008-01-22) adba Troll - how could I possibly do this since you are anonymous?? Besides - didn’t I wish you a nice day?

And, yes, I meant it.

I do not understand your anger...

I am only uncovering, as I do daily, what all you and your fellow travelers unfortunately represent and manifest - particularly the duplicity.

If you wish to state the merits of liberalism and Clinton and/or Obama, then you would do yourself a favor by doing it up-front.

Forthright discussion is respected and valued here when the participants are civil, well-intentioned, and honest. Our time on the Lord’s beautiful Earth is short, so why consider anything else??
