You want to hear something sad? I am allergic to both beer and chocolate.

That IS sad! Especially the chocolate part. I'm a chocoholic.

I'm allergic to any kind of berry - including Kiwi fruit. (I found out that was part of the berry family the hard way.)

People sometimes sympathize, but it's nothing compared to being allergic to chocolate.

You have my sympathy. ;-)

Sorry you can’t drink beer! I don’t really care for it, myself.

More for me!

Thanks for the Guinness.

I used to eat it but it started giving me migraine headaches. It has been so long since I even tasted chocolate that I am sure it would taste nasty to me now. No big deal I don’t miss it. You can have my share! ;9)

One of my favorite Obama quotes, actually his wife Michelle.

The heavy presence of security around Obama was also a silent reminder of the change that took place with the announcement. Michelle Obama, the candidate’s wife, acknowledged it in an interview to air on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” in which she was asked if she fears for her husband’s life as a black candidate.

“I don’t lose sleep over it because the realities are that . . . as a black man . . . Barack can get shot going to the gas station,” Michelle Obama said in the interview, set to air Sunday night. “You can’t make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen.”

They live on the south side of Chicago, near the University of Chicago. A nice neighborhood I'm sure, but go to the wrong gas station a mile or two away, the color of your skin isn't the issue.

And to the extent that it is, well I'll avoid making a statement that could be construed as racist in these delicate times.
