OK folks, where should we go from here? Do we continue to post the YouTube video, and the articles about the YouTube video, here on Free Republic?
We've had to pull some articles about this, all sourced to the YouTube video. Some were pulled because they were from porn sites. One site was blocked tonight because of other disgusting content.
Is Free Republic above this or do we want it to be true so badly that we'll post anything about this from any source?
If we're going to discuss this topic we should at least ask for more proof.

I think we have had enough of this. It has nothing to do with ideas. The people to whom it matters if he did this aren’t going to vote for him anyway, and those who are going to vote for him don’t care. Enough, enough, enough.
Without absolute proof it’s a rumor/smear. A rumor/smear posting at FR left standing is the same as condoning the rumor/smear in the eyes of some. I don’t think we at FR want our integrity associated with such unsubstantiated and questionable rumor/smear.
We will be better off without such garbage posted at the site we all attend, and it would be better for fearless leader that nobody post such crap at his site. JR did not create this site for crap. We don’t return day after day to this site for crap.

Absolutely, as long as you keep the language clean and don’t mention sex, drugs or Bill Clinton.
There where allegations of oral sex underneath a desk and some activity involving a cigar.
Initially, the only source for the allegations was some guy that had a somewhat popular website and liked to wear a fedora.
FR ran with it from day one.

I’d like to see FR take the high road when it comes to rumors and innuendo, especially something this nasty. If it turns out to be true then it’s up for discussion, otherwise let’s keep this site something we can be proud of.
I think stories from established sites, even WND or Newsmax, should be allowed.
Posts from blogs, unknown sites, etc., should be in Bloggers or Smokey Backroom.
Vanities on this subject should not stay in the News forum.

I’d like to see Obama’s liberal policy ideas and proposals given widespread public scrutiny. They are more than disgusting enough. That ought to be sufficient. Ain’t gonna happen, of course.
This stuff is part of election history, with the added power of being recorded and analyzed by experts here on FR. Collectively, we are smart enough and wise enough to separate fact from fiction.
FR hosted the dismantling of RatherBiased inside of 10 minutes on the National Guard story and the vermin was dispatched without honors.
That idiot Marcel Matley hasn’t been used anywhere in public as a handwriting expert since. The document’s signatures were proven utterly fake the next day here on FR.
