If I were back in that time, and John Dean said, “Break into the demonrat office in the Watergage and steal the documentary proof that they are treating prospective donors to the services of prostitutes,” I would gladly and proudly undertake that righteous operation.
I only hope I’d be smart enough to get away with it.
Nixon did a lot of things, it is just they were all liberal. He started the modern enviornmental movement, opened relations with china, ended the vietnam war etc.
However, Carter was our worst president, with Buchanan coming in a close second.
Herbert Hoover could arguably be called the worst Republican President. He couldn’t have prevented the ‘29 crash and the Great Depression, but if he had been competent, he could have responded to it in a way that would have precluded the election of FDR and the New Deal that followed. Republicans still haven’t caught up to that, 75 years later . . . .
