Once again, the benefit of the doubt on Free Republic goes against the cops. You have one post here claiming the cops are bad and a number of responses tending to agree. Let’s hope the Alaskans in this village can sleep better knowing the nearest law enforcement may be 200 miles away.
There are a lot of people in Alaska who are not afraid to take personal responsibility for their own safety. In most instances police are simply report writers. The initial situation is long over with by the time the police get there. Out in the villages every household has multiple firearms, with the exception of the liberal teachers who are recruited from America.
