I was 17, and still in high school the day I found out I could get 5 used paperback books for what my three packs of cigs a day cost. Quit the same day, gave my last pack to my dad. Some addictions are stronger than others, as Bob Heinlein once said.

Good for you. Now, leave the rest of us alone.

“Good for you. Now, leave the rest of us alone.”

That, FRiend, was exactly my point. You want to quit smoking, you find your own reason to do so. I will not support forcing you to do so “for your own good.” You’re presumably an grown-up, you can make your own decisions, and live with the results just as I do. Despite the nanny-staters and do-gooders, this is still America. For what it’s worth, which I know is exactly nothing, I voted to at least make an exception. I’d like to see them repeal the law entirely. You want to keep on smoking, and make your lungs look like a dirty pink sponge, that, too, is your business, and none of mine. And I know that, unlike some other busybodies...

Cheers!
