That’s awfully generous of him considering he’s at room temperature.

Hell, I’m going to outlast the old sob after all.

Almost bittersweet now—vaya con Dios comrade.

He probably needed the extra time to work on the Obama campaign.

I woke up at 3:30 this morning. I felt like something must have happened, because I don’t usually do that.

I flipped on the TV and they were talking about it.

You wouldn’t believe all the boneheads from our country who called CSPUN, talking about how Castro was such a good leader and how we should have better education and health care like they do.

If it was so great, then why did those people keep on drifting over here in broken down boats and rafts?

Another thing I don’t get is the whole embargo thing.

The way I understand it, the embargo was because of communism and human rights issues.

If that’s the case, then why was China given MFN status?

We trade with all kinds of nations that abuse their population, so why the embargo on Cuba? I’m not saying it should be lifted by any means, I just can’t help but wonder why other countries aren’t judged as harshly as Cuba.

I don’t see this as a momentous occasion that will allow any great change in the country.

Castro was a dictator that replaced another dictator via a bloody revolution. He will just be replaced with another dictator.

One prays for his repentance. It’s Christianity 101.

Can you imagine the planeloads of Classic car buffs heading down there with wads of cash and gleams in their eyes?

Count me as one of those who's been thinking of those cars in Cuba for YEARS.

Maybe some of us will get a chance at them if Ron Pratte doesn't buy the good ones out from under us all.

Thanks for pointing me to drudge. Now I can do something really important, like look at naked pictures of Lindsay Lohan.

Are those pictures located at the "Bad Meat Alert" link? ;^)

The best gift a dictator thug can get is to be an American enemy. Especially if he is brought to power with the American help. It did not worked quiete well for Saddam, Noriega, Shah, but worked like charm for Fidel and Ho Chi Minh.

When he was a kid, Fidel wrote a letter to FDR and asked for $5 note to see "how American money looks like".

It was a beginning of a very fruitful cooperation, paid by the millions of Cubans.

Castro will die of boredom, Before he dies, he will probably give highway salute towards JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, as well as to Jimmuh, Poppy, BJ and W, his business partners.

The thug outlasted them all.

“I neither will aspire to nor will I accept — I repeat — I neither will aspire to nor will I accept, the position of president of the council of state and commander in chief,” wrote the Cuban leader, who had been in power for almost 50 years.

"I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President."

Good riddance to bad rubbish!! Too bad things are unlikely to change anytime soon there — I’m sure the CP and the military are ready to keep the people on a very tight LEASH ......

The scumbag Castro has been in power my entire life, I was born in ‘59........ so sad to think of what the Cuban people might have enjoyed by now without that POS running things into the ground.

It was Great Britain, along with the Soviet Union, that put Shah Reza Pahlavi on the throne in the aftermath of the invasion of Iran in 1941, and were the ones who suggested to the U.S. to conduct operation Ajax to overthrow Mossadegh, and participated in the effort. They also put his father on the throne by organizing a coup in Iran in 1921.

Please hurry up. ....

OK I know we had a deal not to off Castro, does that include his brother?

Did the sHrill one’s speech really mis-state that Castro’s one-man rule lasted for 58 years instead of 49? I’ll bet she’s spent too much time poring over Obama’s kindergarten records to pay much attention to fact-checking, LOL!
