When? - I recall he pledged some 15 Billion early in his administration, I don’t recall when he un-pledged it?

"The fact is, in this day and age with the media overwhelmingly controlled by libs..."

For the most part, I'd agree; however, I'd submit to you that this administration has not exploited one of the greatest cards it began with. Talk radio has been, and remains, overwhelmingly conservative, and most in the industry were strongly in support of Bush at the outset, and even moreso after 9/11, but apart from Tony Snow on Rush, and Chertoff a few times on Hannity, the administration has not used this resource anywhere near as fully as it might have. Furthermore, even some *republican* leaders have taken their shots at their supporters on talk radio (i.e., Trent Lott), and Bush's signing of campaign finance reform further limited the right's ability to get it's message out.

Without a doubt, TV, the movie and music industries (w/ the possible exception of Country/Western) are leftists and you have to know they're not going to promote a conservative agenda...so don't bother with them. When you have a media outlet that is willing to support you and your message, you need to utilize it to its fullest, and the Bush administration has not, and in some cases, has snubbed it.

I wonder if the fact that both Bono and Geldoff are Irish which have had a history of oppression from the British makes them see Iraq in a different light than the typical left-wing BDSer?

Either way, it's good to know that they do follow their own path and and are not afraid of peer pressure to give credit to Bush.

In honor of Bob Geldof, I will now go out and shoot the whole day down...

LOL. The best part of “The Wall” is the “Run Like Hell” scene which only proves my belief that there is little difference between a rock concert and Nazi rally.

Neil Young swung back to the left a long time ago.

Here are the lyrics to “Lets Impeach the President”:

Mr. Geldof praised Mr. Bush for his work in delivering billions to fight disease and poverty in Africa, and blasted the U.S. press for ignoring the achievement.

Mr. Bush, said Mr. Geldof, "has done more than any other president so far."

"This is the triumph of American policy really," he said. "It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion."

Well, whadda ya know...

Yes, It’s time to stop puring our taxes into foreign blackholes, we have plenty of those here in the CONUS!

When it was spent, that was it. And, as money goes, $1.5 billion is not that much-—one B-2.

Well, Rush has made it clear that the Cheney appearances and Tony Snow appearances are the great exception, and that he "doesn't do" interviews. Hannity has people on all the time.

But you are speaking to the choir here. When Geldof says the messge isn't getting out, he most assuredly doesn't mean "to conservatives."

I think as younger guys, they are both concerned with results not more flowery rhetoric. And they have definitely seen results with Bush, and rhetoric with Clinton.

Liberals can’t grasp the concept of doing something from the heart or because its right. They expect you to grandstand before men and have them heap praise on you. Clinton would be doing non stop press conferences and photo ops letting people praise him.

***
Exactly. Well said.
