I've taught my kids, "We don't eat organs. We only muscle tissue. We don't eat brains, tripe, spleen, livers, kidneys, intestines, lips, sphincters, eye lids, etc... Therefore, we don't eat potted meats, sausage, baloney, hot dogs etc..."
I think humans should especially avoid brains, kidneys, livers & spleen. Any organ that cleans and filters toxins from the body. Where do you think all the pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, and mandated medicines end up? In the organs.

My brother, a veterinarian, refers to calves liver as ‘blood filter’. He doesn’t eat it anymore, not since vet school.

I have five children. I have discussed drugs, sex, alcohol, seatbelts, bad relationships, the importance of washing your hands, doing unto others...yada yada yada...yet I feel amiss. I never had the 'don't eat organs talk.'
I may need counseling.
