GDP is only one indicator.
If the GDP was all that mattered, we could have one King and one Queen own 99% of our nation’s wealth, the rest of us work as peasants for them producing even more wealth for them, point to the overall increase in economic growth, and say our economy is doing great. It’s also about how all that wealth being produced is being shared among those who are creating it. It not trickling down fairly to those helping to create it doesn’t show up in the GDP.

What utter socialist claptrap. Wages in the US are the highest ever, the number of jobs is the highest ever, household net worth was the highest ever about the middle of last year (down slightly on real estate and stock market declines, which affect the well off the most).
