So Hillary dearest said, "heck, blah, blah...then don't vote for him".
So now, we have Hillary dearest who stayed with a husband who committed adultry in the Oval Office and was impeached (but not removed) and no one is getting on HER for staying with the big creep. Which shows how ambitious the Hildabeast really is.
Then we have Romney, the most decent of them all...trashed by the sainted one standing on the sidelines, giving speeches for money and appearing on Saturday Night Live...that would be Mike Huckabee.
Why don't we just crown Obama and skip the election, FGS

John Weaver, a McCain advisor is the one who went and talked to Vicki?? WHY??? Who is John Weaver and why did he do this??
It looks like the Times may have intended this as an October surprise but the New Republic spoiled its timing.
You mean McCain’s been “swift boated”??? I mean we are talking about a war hero here, unlike the guy who threw his medals away - oh, that was someone else’s medals?
FLASHBACK DRUDGE REPORT DEC 2007 Drudge way ahead of this as usual. The NY Times has been working on this for Months - and Remember it was JAN 08 when they endorsed McCain.
DRUDGE REPORT
MEDIA FIREWORKS: MCCAIN PLEADS WITH NY TIMES TO SPIKE STORY
Thu Dec 20 2007 10:56:57 ET
Just weeks away from a possible surprise victory in the primaries, Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz has been waging a ferocious behind the scenes battle with the NEW YORK TIMES, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, and has hired DC power lawyer Bob Bennett to mount a bold defense against charges of giving special treatment to a lobbyist!
McCain has personally pleaded with NY TIMES editor Bill Keller not to publish the high-impact report involving key telecom legislation before the Senate Commerce Committee, newsroom insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
The paper’s Jim Rutenberg has been leading the investigation and is described as beyond frustrated with McCain’s aggressive and angry efforts to stop any and all publication.

The drama involves a woman lobbyist who may have helped to write key telecom legislation.
The woman in question has retained counsel and strongly denies receiving any special treatment from McCain.
Rutenberg, along with reporter David Kirkpatrick, has been developing the story for the last 6 weeks.
Rutenberg had hoped to break the story before the Christmas holiday, sources reveal, but editor Keller expressed serious reservations about journalism ethics and issuing a damaging story so close to an election.
McCain campaign officials Rick Davis, Charlie Black and Mark Salter are also said to have met with the NEW YORK TIMES in an effort to halt publication.

No, I mean that to assist the winning of the election a media bias 527 could attack in a new but very specific direction
Very telling, McCain never denies having relationship with the woman. McCain, like most of the senate, believe morals and values are for other people.
As always, NYT timing is everything. “Journalism” and NYT cannot be truthfully placed in a sentence without a negation.
Every conservative pundit predicted that the NYT would wait until McCain secured the nomination before going after him.
The NYT is pathetically transparent. They have manipulated the “news” to secure the nominees of their choice. Now they’re setting out to elect the man they’ve obviously annointed to be the next president.
Business as usual.
McCain vows to go to war with the Times? He has been fighting with them since at least Dec 20, 07 when this story broke on Drudge. Note: It was Jan 08 when the NY Times endorsed McCain, knowing all along they had this garbage on him.

Yeah, and the fact his lawyer made the rounds on the morning talk shows and not him speaks volumes.
I’m not a fan of either McCain or the NYT, but I am a fan of the truth and the freedom of the press. Sadly, with McCain and the NYT, who knows what is true or false or if this is all simply political theater. If this hurts the NYT? Unlikely, but great! If McCain’s famous temper is shown in all its glory? More likely and also great!
“The question to the NYT is, So how long have you been setting on this story? And why did you choose to wait until he was the defacto nominee to release it?
Another question for the Times, “why did you endorse this guy knowing this information?”
Given the weak support of the article for the allegation (none) I was thinking that the NYT decided to publish what it had and hope someone else can pick up the ball and get some real facts. It’s a hit piece with no evidence other than his aides telling him to stop spending so much time around a lobbyist, that it looked bad. Big deal. Let’s find a male lobbyist that Hillary has been around a lot . . . or a male lobbyist that Obama has been around a lot (snicker) and then publish that. Same thing.
I read the Times article, which has a link at Drudge. Not only does the article talk about McCain’s alleged relationship with this lobyist but it also brings up the Keating Five scandal, which McCain was also involved in. The gist of the article is that McCain has done a number of things that have the appearance of impropriety, that he is so convinced of his own righteousness that he has imprudent relationships with lobbyists.
I thought that the article is pretty even-handed and it does not look like a “hit piece” to me even though it makes McCain look bad because it calls his judgment into question.
One of the reasons that I think that McCain should not been chosen to be the Republicans’ nominee is that he has some skeletons in his closet, which the Democrats and the MSM are definitely going to publicize as much as possible. He is a flawed candidate at best and it is going to be very difficult for him to redirect the campaign spot light off of these scandals, especially the Savings & Loan Keating Five scandal, and back onto the issues, which aren’t his strong point either.
I’m getting a sinking feeling about McCain’s candidacy. It’s just a matter of time before it hits a big iceberg and goes under.
Sorry, everyone sees this as a “hit piece”. I don’t. Former staff aids have spoken to the NYT about his affair and his currying favors for a lobbyist. Sounds newsworthy to me. The fact he’s hired a lawyer speaks to it’s seriousness. If he’s not being honest with his wife and kids, the voters don’t have a chance.
