Repeal of the 16th amendment will be a FAR simpler matter once the FairTax is the law of the land as there will be millions pushing for that result once they have taste some REAL freedom.

Neither does The Americans For Fair Taxation to the extent they will do it by themselves. All the cosponsors are the result of increase pressure brought to bare on politicians with the understanding they risk losing their jobs if they don't support The Fair Tax and concurrently abolishing the 16th Amendment.

Something that gave birth to the income tax, and they have never, ever trusted before, now they want to believe in like the second coming. One seriously has to wonder if the elevator doesn’t make it to the top floor...
