I said that if someone is ILLEGALLY IN OUR COUNTRY and commits a crime, that the officials who ignored the law and allowed that person to stay here ILLEGALLY share responsibility for the crime. Ditto for the employer who made it financially possible, in violation of the law, for the criminal to ILLEGALLY remain here.
You can't possibly have misunderstood that.
It's not washing the dishes that's the crime. If that illegal alien dishwasher used someone else's ID to acquire his job (ID theft), then that's a crime. If the employer, knowing that the job applicant was an illegal alien (conspiracy to violate federal immigration laws), then that's a crime. If the illegal alien dishwasher is paid in cash and doesn't report his earnings to the IRS (income tax evasion), then that's a crime, etc.

bottom line, if a certain group (illegal immigrants from wherever, no ethnicity mention, criminals coming from all walks of life, and all ethnicities) doesn’t respect our laws in coming here without going through the proper immigration channels) what would make someone think that they have any respect for our laws?
