People using socialized schooling and complain, are like people in government housing complaining about the location or the color of the paint. They can both always get out and stop taking the government hand out.

None of us get to opt out of the taxation used to propagandize these government school children. Also, “they” may also not be able to afford a private school. There is homeschooling, but that can be tough as well, especially fot the working parent. I don’t understand your lack of understanding of why this is an issue.

People don’t get out of paying taxes for homeless shelters, or county health clinics either, but most recoil at the idea of using them or taking their kids there.

If the majority pulled out of the socialized school system, it wouldn’t take long to do away with school taxes and return to a free market system. Sure we might have some socialized schooling for the very poor, just like we have socialized housing projects and food stamps, but the tax rate for that would be a fraction of the rate to pay for the full blown socialized system we have now.

Instead, people prefer to have others subsidize their lifestyle by feeding at the public trough. Then they want to complain about what they get that others are paying for. As I said above, I have as much sympathy for their complaints as I do for the people in the government housing projects who complain about the location or the color of the carpet
.
