Obama's Foreign Policy Favors Talks with Syria and Iran
INN ^ | February 22, '08 | INN

The "inner circle" of Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama is developing a foreign policy that includes high-level diplomatic talks with Syria and Iran but does not include pressuring Israel to negotiate with Hamas, the New York Sun reported. Sen. Obama has won significant victories over Sen. Hillary Clinton in primaries. He has been trying to overcome an e-mail campaign charging that he will not back Israel if elected president.

The inner circle includes Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former national security adviser to President Carter and who led a delegation in the Middle East that met with Syrian President Bashar Assad. Former Israeli ambassador to America, Daniel Ayalon, told the Sun, "What worries me [is that] I have looked into his [Obama's] position papers and all of that. He describes the ayatollah regime as a Hitler-like regime. I think he is very right to see it as a Hitler-like regime. If he sees it this way, why would he negotiate with a Hitler type regime?"

Unlike every previous major candidate since 1980, he has not promised to move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. American President George W. Bush, similar to his predecessors, has reneged on the promise. The move to Jerualem is mandated by a Congressional law, which includes a waiver which President Bush has used to claim that security considerations prevent him from executing the law.

He’s an absolute and total Liberal moron! Ask Israel what talking with killers gets you besides DEAD! IMO, either of the two Liberal wackjobs running for President will only get us another 9/11 ASAP along with an economy that goes into the toilet bowl and an assault on our freedom. We are now living in the Twilight Zone of Liberal Insanity!!

Who wants to take a chance that this guy will have his finger on the button?

I hope he loses to Hillary. Then McCain and Hillary can have it out and McCain will likely win.

Obama would be worse than carter. The euro is now a real competitor to the dollar. Obama really believes the US is just another country in the world.

The complete text of the 2004 Council on Foreign Relations paper in PDF (2 MB)

Iran: Time for a New Approach--Zbigniew Brezinski and Robert M. Gates

What's really troubling is that Brezinski's coauthor on this paper is now our Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates.

Bush's absurd "Islam is Peace" and "Road Map to Peace" nonsense is coupled with Carter's determination to sabotage Israel, having sabotaged the Shah to empower the premier Islamojihadic terror state.

What is scariest is that many Americans, stuffed as they are on starches, Oprah, and public education, probably think this sounds good.

“Yes, let’s reason with them!!”

And he will ensure that our GDP matches this belief.

Chamberlein, Obama. Same thing. Besides, he just said that to get the Jewish vote. You really don't think he meant it, do you?

"Obama's Foreign Policy Favors Talks with Syria and Iran"

Does anyone know if he mentioned what he would do with the Kosovo situation? Or is he maybe waiting to see what the popular opinion would be before he makes a statement.

Barack Hussein Obama.

He consistently leaves out his stepfather when he speaks of his upbringing. Consistantly says that his Dad left when he was two (which is true) and that his Mom and Gradparents then raised him. No mention of his stepfather or the years in Indonesia.

This guy, IMHO, is very, very dangerous.
