What Some Might Not Know About McCain's 'Story'
Townhall ^ | Friday, February 22, 2008 | Matt Towery

The New York Times story that broke this week suggesting John McCain had an improper relationship with a lobbyist created questions that even most political experts might recognize.

John Weaver, a longtime McCain confidant, left the McCain campaign when it was low on cash and appeared to be floundering. Weaver made it clear on one major cable network that he was not the source of the New York Times article. However, Weaver did acknowledge that he had spoken to McCain about the subject and acknowledged to another paper that he did in fact meet with the lobbyist in question regarding the 2000 presidential race, requesting that she keep her distance from Sen. McCain.

***********************snip***********************

What has failed to be reported concerning Weaver is the fact that he has not only been close to McCain but has extraordinary connections to some of the most important support groups for the Democratic Party. One example is that of the trial lawyers.

Weaver is the only former McCain aide who has spoken on the record with the New York Times and Washington Post for stories about McCain and telecommunications lobbyist Vicki Iseman.

Misspelled “principle.” Major turnoff, anyone who writes it as “principal.” “;^(

Shows ignorance of the meaning.

Ah, yes, the Dems and their minions are at it again!

FOX has been giving the NYSlimes hell about this article all day. I DO NOT like McCain for a multitude of reasons, but I like what the Dems have to offer even less! I certainly don’t appreciate what their operatives try to do to Republicans every election either. This cycle they’ve even managed to affect the outcome of our nomination process!

I have promised my Darling (read: husband) that I will vote for McCain, for the sake of our military folks, but I’m sure not liking it.

By November there might be different people standing were the three top runners stand now. I think the blood bath has only started.

McCain brought this on himself. There were lots of articles about McCain accepting campaign donations from telecommunications companies who had business before his commerce committee (airlines, too). The detail of the sexual tryst is just a red herring, the only lie in the story. McCain may not have always voted the way the companies expected, but the donations did buy them access, a pay to play kind of scheme.

Do a google search on and article from 1999 by Amy Silverman, called, “An Endowed Chair.”

There are also lots of stories out there about McCain's mistresses, bimbos, whatever. Regardless of whether he had sex with this particular woman he has a series of little land mines waiting to explode all over his campaign.
