Two Kuwaiti men and an Arab woman caught for committing adultery in Hawalli
Kuwait : Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, police raided an apartment in Hawalli and arrested two Kuwaiti men and an Arab woman for committing adultery, reports Arrouiah daily. The daily did not give more details.
Women fight in club: Two unidentified women who were involved in a fight at the Police Officers Club at Abu Al-Hassaniya have filed complaints with the police accusing each other of starting the fight, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The daily did not give more details.
Thieves take docus only: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into a real estate office in Khaitan and stealing 5,000 ownership documents of houses, reports Al-Watan daily. The owner of the office says he is surprised the thieves stole only the documents and left the furniture and money intact. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Lawyer says abused publicly: A Kuwaiti lawyer has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station accusing an employee of the Jahra Court of abusing him in front of visitors to the court, reports Al-Rai daily. The man will be summoned for interrogation.
I always take it to breakfast with me and suppress laughter as I read the local crime section. Some of the stuff in there is hilarious.
Arrested for adultery? What is the punishment if convicted in Kuwait?
I'm not sure...Kuwait's not as radical as Iran and Saudi Arabia, but not as laid-back as Jordan or some of the lower Gulf states. I'm not even sure if they do lashes there.
