In regards to the gangs: arm any decent and non-felon citizen with a .357, proper training, and a CHL. Voila! Problem solved.

They will not only fail to protect you, they will arrest or shoot you for trying to protect yourself. Unless you are ready to fire on the police, don’t even start.
Get real. You do that and your own police department will take you down. It they can’t they will call in the guard. People of Salem need to get together with the Police Departments and work together. They need to get rid of the do gooders and get back to where they were back in the 70’s. Back then, you didn’t mess around in those areas. Now it’s full of liberals and they will be crying and wondering what happened when they are run out of their own towns. Then they’ll be in your towns and trying to change them.

People need to stop putting words like “family/culture/character problem.” around this stuff. These gangs will kill you and your families and not give a dam. They are different than you. What are you going to do about it, other than have a bunch of meetings and discuss it? We’re going to have a civil war on our hands folks if someone doesn’t do something real quick.

Yep, I sold and moved. Well, I should say,because the neighborhood turned into a barrio in two weeks time, I gave it away. Realtors would try to show my place, only to have the ‘homies’ stand in the street, refusing to move, banging on the car. Doesn’t make for a good first impression. Someone’s cheap labor cost my family about a million bucks on that one alone.
You are so correct . The police have neither the ability nor the assigned mission to protect you before something happens .
People don’t seem to get it. The police work for the people. They are there to serve and protect. If they can’t or won’t do that, get rid of them and call in the state. If the state won’t do anything, demand the guard. Put up with the inconvience and shut the city down for awhile. Once you start this, other cities will see it and do the same. If people just sit around let things go on, it will get worse..........count on it.

Aw hell.....I wasn’t saying anyone was PC. But all I hear is people complaining about the gangs and nobody is doing anything.
