Draft Haley Barbour for VP.
Paid for by Draft Haley for Vice President ^ | 2-22-8 | Draft Haley for Vice President

Posted on 02/22/2008 4:26:39 PM PST by WKB

Help us convince the GOP nominee to pick Haley Barbour as his vice-presidential running mate; and help convince Haley to say, “YES!” Our goal is to deliver a petition signed by 50,000 GOP supporters to the presumptive GOP nominee and to Governor Barbour by March 1, 2008.

NO!! I’m selfish, and I want Haley to stay in MS, cause we’re fixing to move down there! ;o)

It’s early. And McCain is not very popular here.

I really, seriously, like Haley Barbour and would not want him on any ticket with the likes of John McCain. Sorry.

No, but don’t expect everyone in the South to run to John McCain. Many may stay home in November if he doesn’t make amends for his poor judgments on immigration, taxes and campaign “reform”.

"...and when he was head of the RNC was a most effective spokesman for the party. he can hold his own in any political argument, and in a most gracious yet effective way."

It is really kinda cool how that works. With a smile on his face and that smooth, southern drawl ... he could call you everything but a good huntin' dog and still sound like he was praising you.

I just got done reading the book “Condi”, after reading that, I don’t think that there is person more qualified to be president.

I would work my a** off for her.

Fred was my man too, but I was wrong, He was boring and I never consider voting for him again. For a actor, he did not play the roll, and getting on the bad side of Christians did not help. He could not lead anybody out of a paper bag.

McCain has already said he supports securing the border first and making the tax cuts permanent. What more do you want? No candidates are talking about CFR.

LOL . . . yes indeed. How’s Gov Foster these days. I loved his Thursday chats on WWL. He’s another smooth talker.

Yeah, we all remember how McCain-Kennedy was attempted to be shoved down our throats. I don’t trust him. I expect him to apologize for smearing the Religious Right. Otherwise, he will have to win without a few million votes.

Helped destroy?

You mean the guy who along with Newt got us the one brief shining moment of actual conservatism since Reagan left office?

How, pray tell, did Barbour do anything to “destroy” the CWA?

How did Haley get us into any mess? In point of fact he was RNC chairman during the last and only time since Reagan left office when the GOP looked like it had a friggin clue what it was doing.

I love him but I do agree he’s not the best choice to balance out McCain....plus I’m jealous of maximizing his days in MS.

Plus, frankly, assuming McCain can’t pull it out, Haley’s my first choice for 2012.

For the top of the ticket.

BTW, when’s the last time one ran and got beat? How often has that happened?
